Meechie’s Menu was built on loyalty, family and a full belly. Born in Jamaica and raised in the Bronx, Meechie of Meechie’s Menu learned to embrace the family’s traditional values, culture, and cuisine.

As immigrants to the United States, it became very apparent from early on, that it was essential to her family to maintain their Jamaican culture within the household. Some of Meechie’s fondest memories are in the kitchen with her mother, where Meechie learned professional culinary skills her mom taught her own students, alongside multigenerational recipes for delectable Jamaican food and pastries.

After leaving for university, she maintained those same skills and beliefs. However, being in yet another new place, sparked the desire for more cultural depth. Meechie’s Menu began as a way to introduce healthy nutrition into a daily diet with a home cooked meal, while also keeping culture close to heart.

What started out as a hit within her inner circle, soon became very popular with the community… In February 2023, after multiple urges, Meechie’s Menu was born.
